Paquiao- the savior of all boxers

MANILA -- Seven-time world champ Manny Pacquiao said the record pay-per-view buys of his “Firepower” match with Miguel Cotto has proven there’s no need for “trash talk” to sell a fight.
The “Firepower” match has recorded 1.25 million pay-per-view buys, higher than the 1.05 million buys generated by Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s comeback fight against Juan Manuel Marquez. The Filipino boxer is apparently alluding to certain apparent publicity stunts involving boxing, including the steroid claims made by Mayweather’s father Floyd Mayweather Sr.
Mayweather Sr. made doping claims against Pacquiao, who has become Floyd Jr.’s closest rival after the Filipino’s spectacular win over Cotto.
"I know Floyd is the best," Mayweather Sr. said in SI.com. "But when [your opponent] uses something illegal, even the best can get hurt."
Pacquiao, however, has consistently passed drug tests conducted by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
The Filipino boxer also praised Cotto for bringing out his best and helping improve boxing's stature as a sport.
“I salute Mr. Cotto for making our fight one of the best fights of the year, if not the best,” he noted.
The pound-for-pound king continued: “ I am the savior of all boxers, because i defeat cotto, with all of my strenght.Pacquiao is chosen as the ‘Athlete of the Year’ nominees
